Maintenance Technician

The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join a skilled team in manufacturing. This position, is under general supervision, will maintain all manufacturing equipment, perform reparation and daily support of all processes. You will lead in-depth troubleshooting with Technicians and Operators. Through your participation in improvement and maintenance projects you will liaison with Engineering and other support groups. Ensure all duties are performed in compliance with Company safety and hygiene requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Completion of maintenance work orders.
• Support maintenance and company projects.
• Perform TPM and Preventative Maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot CNC equipment electrical and electronic circuits, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Plumbing and pneumatic line installation.
• Review equipment drawings and create spare part lists.
• Basic fabrication and welding.
• Housekeeping of work areas.
• Rigging of equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Previous mechanical experience, mechanically inclined.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Excellent time management and organization skills. Able to multi-task.
• Computer experience (email, internet, excel, pdf, maintenance software).
• Familiar with measuring tools.
• Familiar with maintenance equipment (lathes, mills, surface grinders, welding machines, etc.)
