Melitron Adopts High Performance Eco-Friendly Metal Pretreatment Technology

Environmentally sustainable solution strengthens paint adhesion and corrosion protection for added durability, weatherproofing and longevity

Melitron Corporation, a manufacturer of integrated metal enclosure systems for technology products, including a Melitron-branded line of indoor and outdoor digital signage and kiosk solutions, has adopted a new approach to pretreating metal that strengthens paint adhesion and corrosion protection and is also eco-friendly. The new technology uses faster, more efficient processes that require less energy, less water, and less waste, and is phosphate-free.

The pretreatment, using zirconium, can be applied to steel, aluminum and zinc surfaces prior to powder coating. Zirconium pretreatments are ideal for metal products that have to withstand harsh environmental conditions and for added protection against extreme heat, cold, wind, water, and everyday use and abuse.
